The Councillor for Economic Development and Infrastructures, Arantza Tapia, meets with the agents of the industrial alliance Goierri Valley at the celebration of the General Assembly in the premises of the company AMPO, S.Coop.
The association Goierri Valley was born in June 2017, driven by 33 companies, tractors and SMEs, with the vision of being the motor of the industrial transformation of the region Goierri and currently it is composed by 54 companies.
Goierri Valley, the alliance that unites different industrial subsectors and equipments at a regional level, sums 6152 workers. The association, whose commitment and reason to be is the collaboration, leads the industrial transformation of Goierri through the active collaboration of the associated companies sharing the knowledge and innovating in order to guarantee the industrial competitiveness and the future sustainability of our environment.

The Councillor has applauded the initiative of the association, congratulating the tractors and the SMEs for the commitment shown in favour of the active collaboration. She has also highlighted that, being the manufacturing industry an axis of the competitiveness of the Basque Country, Goierri Valley’s strategy is aligned with the territory’s one. Therefore, she has considered the option to hold a meeting, in order to facilitate the knowledge and the access to the programs published by the executive to the SMEs, as well as the opportunity to initiate some projects for the execution of actions planned.

The 54 companies that form this unique industrial alliance in the world, sums in total 2.903 million euros in sales, with more than 41.400 employees all around the world and with 39 international production plants, besides the national ones.

Facing the next exercise, the aim is to overpass the amount of 200.000€ executed in 2017 to 347.000€, the budget planned for the next year. Between the actions scheduled, the ones worth noting are the following:
