The question answered in the fifth session of the ERALDATUZ programme held yesterday, Tuesday 13 April, was the following:
Why do a job evaluation? What is it for?
Pilar Romero and Nieves Barahona, colleagues from the consultancy InGroup, associated with the Goierri Valley Association, and facilitators of the sessions of this project, ERALDATUZ - Zazpi pauso, hamaika aukera -, began the session by imparting some basic concepts on why it is convenient to have a good structure and definition of jobs within the company. Concepts that seem to be basic but in which many cases are not clear. Terms such as the meaning and objective of job evaluation, the remuneration system, professional levels, the rules of the game and rewardable equity.
Let's see, can you answer the following three questions clearly?
- What ELEMENTS should be reflected in a JOB DESCRIPTION?
- What CRITERIA can we use to evaluate jobs?
- What does it mean to analyze INTERNAL EQUITY?
These three questions are the ones that guided the 5th session of ERALDATUZ that we held yesterday at the Igartza Palace in Beasain, called the organization of workplaces.
Starting with the three key questions, the attendees from our companies made an effort to find answers with the support of our colleagues Pilar and Nieves.
