Goierri Valley was visited by Arantxa Tapia at the Goieki facilities, the Goierri Development Agency, Ordizia.
Arantxa Tapia, currently Minister of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of the Basque Government, last visited the Goierri Valley Association in 2017, on the day of the creation and inauguration of the industrial company. Today she has returned to the region to learn about the different projects of Goieki, Development Agency of Goierri, and the strategic axes of the Goierri Valley Association. The different current lines of work and the opportunities that may arise in the future were also presented and analysed.
In addition to mentioning the Berrabiarazi project that Goieki has carried out over the last year and the results obtained, the main challenges of the Goierri Valley Association's 2021 management plan were presented: Inter-cooperation network, collaboration network, strengthening of SMEs, visibility and notoriety and value-added services. The objectives of each of the challenges and the actions underway to achieve them were analysed and the lines of work and opportunities for the industrial future of the region were discussed.
The event was attended by Iker Galparsoro, general manager of Goieki and secretary of the Goierri Valley Association, Xabier Pérez, industrial manager of Goieki and head of business in Goierri Valley, Mikel Plazaola, president of Goieki, Eider Iztueta, treasurer of the Goierri Valley Association, Josean Guerra, president of the Goierri Valley Association, Arantxa Tapia, Basque Government Minister of Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment and member of her cabinet, Aitor Aldasoro.
